In 2024, Redion launched its Group Sustainable Purchasing Guidelines to embed ESG principles into procurement practices across all entities. These guidelines were co-developed by procurement, legal, compliance, risk teams and ESG and are structured around two core commitments: Buying responsibly. Partnering responsibly.
Our Sustainable Purchasing Guidelines, introduced in 2024, complement the Generali Group ‘One Procurement’ Policy and provide a common framework across Redion. They are built on two complementary ambitions: buying from suppliers that share our commitment to responsible business practices, and acting as a fair, transparent and responsible partner to our suppliers.
Our four-tier supplier engagement approach
We engage suppliers through a four-tier approach that combines clear expectations, risk assessment, collaboration and continuous improvement.
From setting minimum ESG requirements to encouraging more advanced sustainability practices, this framework helps us better understand our suppliers’ maturity, identify opportunities for progress and foster meaningful partnerships that support our shared sustainability ambitions.
Sustainable Purchasing Charter
Our Sustainable Purchasing Charter outlines the environmental, social and ethical principles we expect suppliers to uphold when working with Redion.
Available to all partners, the Charter promotes responsible business conduct, respect for human rights, fair labor practices and environmental stewardship.
Since 2026, its principles have also been reinforced through an ESG clause progressively integrated into supplier contracts.
